Units

This screen is where you buy all of your units that you use in battles and Missions.

Each unit is shown with a picture, a price, and usually an upkeep cost.

The price is how much it costs to buy 1 unit of that type.

The upkeep cost is how much it costs EVERY HOUR to keep that unit, which means that every time you buy a unit with an upkeep cost, that amount is deducted from your Gross income.

Expendable Units are units that are relatively low in purchase cost, have no upkeep and are therefore easier to replace if lost in a battle.

If you buy units and their total upkeep is higher than your gross income, your lower cost units will automatically be sold off until your negative income status moves out of the red

Units can be sold back for half the price you bought them for, Looted items have a pre-determined selling price

It's divided into 4 sub tabs. These represent the 4 unit types

Expendable Units are units that are relatively low in purchase cost, have no upkeep and are therefore easier to replace if lost in a battle

Looted Units

Loot are special units that you can only get in 3 ways:

1. Some Missions have a "Chance of Loot". This means that when you complete the Mission, you have a chance of getting a special unit.

2. Sometimes Storm8 offer items as a reward for installing another of Storm8's Games.

3. Mastering all Missions in a certain area to level 2

Looted Enhancements

Of all the Looted Enhancements, the three that are of most benefit are 'Precision Guided Munitions' which will give you 8% more damage to opponents, 'Mercenary Arms Unit' which will give you 5% discount on future Unit purchases and 'Mobile Sustainable Brigade' which gives 5% discount on unit upkeep

If you plan to do a lot of Missions, then 'Military Advanced R & D' will come in handy giving you a 5% more chance of gaining a looted item

All others are a matter of choice dependent on your type of gameplay
